Icebreakers

Welcome to another entry of Over A Morning Mug!

An open environment to have creative discussions and make meaningful connections over your preferred beverage!

With the intro out of the way we can dive into the icebeaker! Personally, I have never enjoyed a traditional icebreaker. Maybe it is an effective strategy forcing a handful of strangers to complete an awkward task to see how people respond under strange circumstances, or ya know "for science". I'm not convinced trying to guess a fun fact/lie or untieing yourself from a human knot is the best way to bond with your fellow stranger, co-worker, or acquaintance.

Maybe your ideal icebreaker is shaking it in your coffee! If so, let's be friends!

If I had the opportunity to design an icebreaker it would be a fantasy Table Top Role Playing Game (TTRPG) one shot. This will provide a setting where you can effectively see how a group of people will coordinate to achieve a task, identify who the natural leaders are, and how they act in stressful situations.

Let's chat! Let me know what you think of icebreakers, what is a notable icebreaker I should try with my next opportunity, what is the biggest icebreaker fail that everyone should avoid, who would thrive in a D&D icebreaker, and who thinks it's a terrible idea?

Feel free to include what is in your morning mug, what quest you would like to adventure on for your RPGIcebreaker™ and keep the conversation going!

For those looking for extra credit, include a descprition or image of your mug, and your morning beverage's vessel may be featured in a future post! It doesn't have to be an actual mug, get creative! Anyone enjoying an Espresso-tini? It's 5'oclock somewhere.
